A baby was caught in the middle of a violent brawl between two men during a kindergarten graduation ceremony in Pennsylvania, shocking video has revealed.

The incident occurred last Thursday at Ben Franklin Elementary School in Harrisburg, Pa., inside the school gymnasium. According to WHP, the two men began fighting near the chairs at the back of the gym, eventually dragging each other to the ground.

One man, wearing a white shirt, held a baby in his arms while putting his opponent — who was wearing a yellow hoodie — in a headlock. The chaotic scene prompted a horrified parent to scream, “Oh my God, get the baby!”

The baby was eventually safely removed from the altercation, but the two men continued trading blows. They were eventually separated, though the man in the yellow hoodie, who had a bloodied tongue, had to be physically restrained. A stray punch was thrown as both men were pushed out of the auditorium.

Harrisburg police identified one man as the “aggressor” and charged him with disorderly conduct and trespassing. He has not been publicly identified.

“No further police involvement was needed,” said Captain Kyle Gautsch.

The video of the brawl quickly went viral, leaving local residents and school officials disturbed.

“It’s terrible,” said Katherine Camilli. “I can’t believe that happened. I don’t know why you would fight at a graduation.”

A spokesperson for the Harrisburg School District told PennLive: “We are extremely disappointed in the behavior displayed by adults involved in the domestic dispute incident at Ben Franklin Elementary School. The Harrisburg School District does not condone such behavior, nor will it be tolerated on school property.”

This is not the first such incident this graduation season. Last month, a large fight broke out at Queen of Apostles Catholic School in Toledo, Ohio, resulting in Jessica Anderson being charged with assault after video appeared to show her pulling another woman’s hair during the scuffle.
