Prime Video’s Off-Campus is officially entering a new phase as Season 2 prepares to move beyond Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham’s story and hand the spotlight to one of the franchise’s most anticipated couples: Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis. Following the breakout success of the first season, the adaptation now appears ready to trade comfort and certainty for a relationship built on unpredictability, emotional avoidance, and unexpected vulnerability.
Based on The Score, one of the most popular novels from Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off-Campus series, the upcoming season is expected to expand the Briar University universe while maintaining the ensemble structure that helped turn the adaptation into a streaming favorite.
Season 1 introduced viewers to a romance that developed through patience, trust, and gradual emotional connection.
Season 2 appears prepared to challenge that formula.

At the center of the story is Dean Di Laurentis — charismatic, socially fearless, and widely known around Briar as someone who never lets relationships become too serious. Throughout earlier episodes, Dean’s confidence often made him seem untouchable, turning him into one of the most entertaining and unpredictable members of the group.
But beneath the confidence, there were signs of someone who preferred movement over reflection.
That emotional pattern becomes difficult to maintain once Allie enters the equation.
Unlike people who are easily impressed by Dean’s reputation, Allie Hayes approaches relationships differently. Independent, emotionally intelligent, and unwilling to become someone’s temporary distraction, she represents the exact type of person Dean never expected to affect him.
Their dynamic begins without expectations.
That is precisely what makes it dangerous.
What initially feels simple and low-pressure gradually becomes more difficult to define as attraction evolves into emotional dependence and both characters begin confronting feelings they never intended to develop. Rather than relying on dramatic misunderstandings alone, their story builds tension through timing, communication, and the fear of wanting more than either of them originally planned.
One of the reasons readers connected so strongly with The Score is because the romance feels emotionally uneven in a way that reflects real change.
Dean is forced to question the identity he built around being emotionally unavailable. Allie must decide whether she is willing to trust someone whose history suggests instability. Their relationship becomes less about chasing excitement and more about understanding what happens after attraction becomes real.
The shift also affects the wider Briar University world.
One of Off-Campus’ strongest advantages has always been the sense that every relationship influences the larger group. Returning characters remain involved as friendships, routines, and team dynamics continue evolving. That interconnected structure allows each season to feel like a continuation rather than a reset.
The college hockey setting is expected to remain important as well.
Competition, pressure, public expectations, and changing priorities continue shaping how characters interact both on and off the ice. Season 2 appears interested in showing how emotional choices can create consequences that extend far beyond the people directly involved.
Production updates and cast announcements have continued building excitement among viewers who consider Allie and Dean’s story one of the strongest arcs in the original books.
Although Prime Video has not announced a premiere date, expectations continue pointing toward a 2027 release window as development progresses.
If Season 2 captures the humor, chemistry, and emotional growth that made The Score such a standout among readers, the next chapter may prove that Briar University was never built around one romance alone.
Because at Briar, falling in love has never been the difficult part.
Admitting it always is.
