Caitlin Clark was not having it.

The Indiana Fever star was benched during her team’s 100-84 loss to the Portland Fire on Saturday night, and her reaction to a heated conversation with head coach Stephanie White has gone viral.

Clark, who finished the game with just six points on 1-of-7 shooting, was on the receiving end of strong coaching from White during a timeout. White could be seen pumping her fist and delivering intense instructions to the 2024 Rookie of the Year.

However, Clark was visibly arguing back, raising her arms in frustration. White then signaled for Raven Johnson to sub in for Clark. As she left the court, Clark shook her head and rolled her eyes. A video of the exchange has already surpassed 1.8 million views on X.

Clark played just 22 minutes in the game, picking up five fouls while struggling defensively.

The tense moment comes after Clark declined to speak to reporters following the Fever’s loss to the Valkyries on Thursday. In that game, she also had a poor shooting night, going 3-of-12 from the field for 16 points — her lowest total of the season at that point.

The loss to Portland dropped Indiana’s record to 4-4. Despite the recent struggles, Clark is still averaging 20.1 points per game this season.

She and the Fever will look to bounce back when they face the Dream on Thursday.
