Mother sentenced to life imprisonment after enabling stepfather to assault daughter
An Oklahoma jury has recommended seven life sentences for a thirty-four-year-old mother who enabled her husband to sexually assault her eleven-year-old daughter. Cherie Walker was convicted on seven felony counts of child neglect and enabling child sexual abuse following a trial at Muskogee County District Court. The primary perpetrator, thirty-five-year-old stepfather Dustin Walker, was also handed a life sentence for his direct involvement in the prolonged abuse. Law enforcement launched an official investigation into the household during 2025 after receiving reports concerning an unassisted infant birth inside the family residence. Subsequent forensic testing confirmed with ninety-nine percent scientific certainty that Dustin Walker was the biological father of the newborn infant.
Investigators entering the residence discovered six children living in severely unsanitary and hazardous conditions.
