“My Friend Is Bleeding Everywhere!”: Chilling 911 Audio Captures Terrifying Chaos Seconds After Karmelo Anthony’s Fatal S.t.a.b.b.i.n.g

Disturbing audio from 911 calls made moments after Texas teen Austin Metcalf was fatally stabbed by Karmelo Anthony was released Friday, revealing the panic and desperation at the scene.
In one call, a friend identified as Mason tells the dispatcher that Metcalf, 17, a track and football star at Memorial High School, had “just got stabbed” at a Frisco track meet.
“You need to send an ambulance right now,” Mason says.
He then describes Anthony, a rival athlete from Centennial High School, as a Black male wearing a gray Essentials hoodie and blue sweatpants, adding that a coach was holding him in place.
When asked what happened, Mason responds, “My friend’s bleeding everywhere.”
In the background, the frantic caller can be heard telling others, “It was Austin, Austin got stabbed in the chest.”

Another emotional 911 call reports that “an athlete” had been stabbed, while chaos unfolds around the caller.
At one point, Metcalf’s football coach, Joshua Rebmann, can be heard desperately encouraging the injured teen, saying, “C’mon! C’mon!” and “Fight through, fight through! You’re doing good,” as he performs CPR.
The caller tells dispatchers that Metcalf is unconscious but still breathing.
The recordings were released Friday, more than a week after Anthony was convicted of murder in a case that intensified racial tensions in McKinney, where the trial took place.
According to evidence presented at trial, Anthony was inside a tent designated for the rival school during a track meet in April 2025 when he became involved in an argument with Metcalf. Witnesses testified that Anthony was repeatedly told to leave before he pulled out a 3.5-inch serrated knife, purchased for $13, and stabbed Metcalf once in the chest.
Anthony, who was 17 at the time of the killing but was tried as an adult, was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
