Teen K.i.ll.e.r Karmelo Anthony Breaks Down in Tears Confessing to Fatal S.t.a.b.b.i.n.g of Austin Metcalf in Shocking Bodycam Footage

Convicted killer Karmelo Anthony broke down in tears and appeared to admit to fatally stabbing Texas teenager Austin Metcalf moments after the attack, telling police, “I’m not alleged. I did it,” according to newly released body-camera footage.

The dramatic video, released Friday by Collin County as part of the evidence presented during Anthony’s murder trial, shows the then-17-year-old being detained near the scene of the fatal stabbing at a high school track meet in Frisco.

As a school resource officer informs dispatch that he has the “alleged suspect” in custody, Anthony can be heard replying, “I’m not alleged. I did it.”

Anthony then appears to defend his actions, telling officers that Metcalf had put his hands on him after he warned him not to.

“I’m not alleged. I did it. He put his hands on me. I told him not to. He put his hands on me,” Anthony says tearfully in the footage.

The video shows Anthony visibly emotional as officers handcuff him and escort him away from the scene.

At one point, Anthony asks the arresting officer, “Am I going to be OK?”

The newly released footage was among dozens of exhibits made public after Anthony was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Prosecutors said Anthony stabbed 17-year-old Metcalf with a folding knife during a confrontation that began after he was asked to leave a tent reserved for athletes from another school during a rain delay at a track meet.

Anthony claimed he acted in self-defense, but jurors rejected that argument and found him guilty earlier this month.

The county also released surveillance footage shown to jurors during the trial, giving the public its first view of the moments immediately before and after the fatal stabbing.

The video, recorded by a distant security camera overlooking the stadium, shows athletes gathered around the Memorial High School team tent during the meet.

Because of the camera’s distance and the grainy quality of the footage, the actual stabbing cannot be clearly seen.

Instead, the recording appears to capture a brief exchange of movement beneath the tent moments before Anthony suddenly emerges and runs from the area.

Prosecutors used the enhanced footage during the trial to help reconstruct the confrontation between Anthony and Metcalf.

Witnesses testified that the dispute began after Metcalf confronted Anthony for sitting under a tent designated for Memorial High School athletes.

The videos were released alongside a collection of photographs, including graphic images of the fatal chest wound suffered by Metcalf, a blood-soaked coach’s jacket used in an attempt to stop the bleeding, and the folding knife prosecutors identified as the murder weapon.
