Earlier this year, GB News presenters Patrick Christys and Emily Carver tied the knot in a small ceremony they shared with viewers in a touching wedding video on the New Year’s Eve programme.
Viewers were left teary-eyed by the sweet display and expressed how the pair were their “favourite” presenters on the news programme.
One typed: “I absolutely loved it both my favourite presenters.@PatrickChristys you’re doing amazing tonight. Happy new year to you all . Watching in bed with Flu.”
A second remarked: “I think it’s beautiful, thanks for sharing that with us and much happiness to you both in 2025.”
While a third added: “What a great awake couple! Love their enthusiasm for the truth, and each other!!”However, the happy couple could not help but feel slightly embarrassed at the airing of such personal footage with the public, as Patrick stated: “Massively cringing! I forgot we were doing that.”
He also posted on social media: “Happy New Year everybody! What a night @GBNEWS! Amazing to bring in 2025 with @beverleyturner @benleo444 @darrengrimes_ and @CarverEmily – sorry for getting a bit embarrassed at our wedding video being played out! Thanks to everyone who tuned in – here’s to a GREAT year!”
But viewers insisted he had nothing to feel awkward over, as it boosted their spirits as they entered the new year.
One replied: “That was beautiful to see first thing this morning! They are a delightful couple & what a fabulous wedding day.” (sic)
Another typed: “What a brilliant show tonight – well done all and here’s to the continued success of GB News and to Reform party.”
Patrick previously shared photos from their nuptials on X and wrote in July: It’s been the most amazing week! @CarverEmily and I had a small wedding ceremony with our close family last Saturday, and then we had the big one yesterday!
“It was the happiest and proudest day of my life. Both of us felt so much love from everybody there. We feel so lucky.”
Emily looked gorgeous for the occasion. She wore a dress from Lihi Hod and tied her wavy brown hair in a half-up do with a bold red lip.
Meanwhile, Patrick looked dapper in a three-piece suit. He grinned from ear to ear while soaking up the day’s atmosphere in the undisclosed location.
