Monty Don has been inundated with messages of support after announcing some “good news.” The Gardeners’ World star took to social media to share a career update with his followers.

In the video, Monty was seen smiling as he said, “Hello, I’ve got some good news, because next spring, this book will be published.

“It’s taken two years to write. It’s the culmination of visiting dozens of gardens from the north of Scotland to the tip of Cornwall and celebrating the very best of British gardens with some of the most wonderful in the world.

“And also it’s got fabulous pictures by my friend Derry Moore. And on top of that, also next spring, I shall be going around the country talking about the gardens, about stories behind them, about stories involved in filming.

“Because, of course, I did a big series for the BBC on the gardens and how all of this has informed and impacted on my own gardening life.”

He added, “So come and join me next spring, you can go to the website and tickets will be available now.”

Fans rushed to the comment section to wish Monty their well-wishes, with one writing, ” Yes, the TV shows were so good, thanks for putting the visits in print!”

Another commented, “We have been watching your series on the Roku streaming platform and absolutely love it! Hope you find your way back to the US one day, would be a pleasure to see and listen to you in person.”

While a third added, “Looks a fabulous book! Please come to Buxton…loved it when you came and talked about Nigel a few years ago.”

“Sounds like a book I need,” someone else shared while a third wrote, “Can’t wait.”

In other news, earlier this week, Monty shared shocking images and footage of the flooding at his Herefordshire home, which he shares with his wife, Sarah, and their two dogs, Patti and Ned.

He captioned the post, “A little wet in the garden this morning after yesterday’s storm that dropped a month’s worth of rain in 24 hours.”
