The next series of The Only Way Is Essex will reportedly be filmed in Vietnam.

ITV are ditching the usual European destinations for their abroad special after places like Marbella and Tenerife became the norm for their summer series.

The Sun also reports that a fresh new group of 18 and 19-year-olds are joining the cast to shake things up.

A source told the publication: ‘TOWIE has always had younger faces at the heart of the drama, which makes sense for the audience and the show’s home on ITV2.

‘The fresh new arrivals will shake up the series after last year’s celebrated the show’s origins a little more with the return of Lauren Goodger.

‘But viewers that remember the glory days of Sugar Hut and no carbs before Marbs might struggle to get their heads around Vietnam.’

ITV has been contacted by The Daily Mail for comment.

The news comes just after one of the show’s stars took a swipe at influencer Molly-Mae Hague recently.

Dani Imbert made her feelings towards the star clear on TikTok last week.

In a recent video, the TOWIE cast member, 27, went on a wild rant about ‘little pick-me girls’ who ‘look down their nose’ at her because she likes to party.

However, following the upload, the star appeared to make a dig at former Love Island star Molly-Mae, 26, who is a well-known homebody and has often shared her dislike for partying and drinking.

Liking a comment on her video which read: ‘More of this. Less Molly Mae’, Dani replied: ‘How do I pin this’ alongside a heart eyes and laughing emoji.

Molly-Mae fans proceeded to defend the star in the comments, with one hitting back at Dani: ‘Is this comment necessary??? Not everyone enjoys going out in short dresses looking to get laid… Molly is a classy girl who s making something of herself.’

While another fumed: ‘Molly Mae is natural & classy sit down.’

The comment came after Dani expressed her dislike for ‘pick me girls’ and ‘judgemental boys’ in a video.

She told her followers: ‘I love going out every weekend, I love partying, I love getting drunk with my friends.

‘Do you know what I actually hate about partying, the little pick me girls and judgemental boys that look down their nose at the fact that I like to go out.

‘They’re like ‘it could never be me, I could never imagine going out every weekend.’

Appearing to take a swipe at Molly, she continued: ‘You’re right, you could never keep up, you could never hold this energy that I hold when I go out every single weekend.

‘You probably are better off sitting indoors reading your book, and they sit their like ‘I could never be in the club every weekend’. Good I don’t want you to be there every week with your bad vibes.

‘Actually the bouncers see you approaching the club and roll their eyes too, we don’t want you there, sitting on your phone not having fun.’

Daily Mail has contacted Dani and Molly-Mae’s representatives for comment.

In 2024, Molly-Mae admitted she thinks she ‘doesn’t like having fun’ and ‘struggles to let her hair down’ in a candid video on her YouTube channel.

At the time, the influencer had attended her office’s Christmas party and reflected on the experience with her 1.97million subscribers.

She explained: ‘I actually really wanted to let my hair down last night and I was like tonight, a couple of drinks could be coming my way and I’m gonna have some fun and I’m gonna really do my best to actually enjoy myself.

‘Honestly guys, I don’t know how many more times I need to go on like a “fun evening” or a “fun trip” or something that would stereotypically be described as fun to realise that I don’t like having fun.’
