One of the youngest victims of the Huntingdon train knife rampage suspect is the schoolboy nephew of Hollywood actor Damson Idris.

Isaiah Ishmael Idris, 17, was slashed across the face as he travelled on the Docklands Light Railway in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The sixth-form student is understood to have staggered off the DLR train at Pontoon Dock station in east London and to have called 999.

Isaiah’s uncle Damson is a rising British star whose biggest role to date saw him appear opposite Brad Pitt in the hit motor racing film F1 this year.

His nephew was named as one of 11 people that Huntingdon train knife suspect Anthony Williams was accused of attempting to murder when he appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

A British Transport Police statement about the incident stated: ‘Officers received a report of an incident on a DLR train at Pontoon Dock at 00:46 early on 1 November where a victim suffered facial injuries after being attacked with a knife.

‘The suspect had left the location. Police subsequently identified Williams as a suspect.’

The other ten attempted murder charges relate to the stabbing of passengers on the LNER train from Doncaster to London some 16 hours later.

Isaiah’s uncle Damson Idris declined to comment on his nephew’s tragic involvement in the horrific train knife attacks.

But another uncle, Habeeb Idris, confirmed that his nephew was one of those wounded.

He said: ‘I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family.’

The school's famous uncle Idris is a rising Hollywood star from London who appeared alongside Brad Pitt in the blockbuster F1

In F1, released in June, Idris stars as Joshua Pearce, the hotshot rookie team-mate of nomadic racer-for-hire Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt.

The film follows Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes as he gets back behind the wheel after suffering a career-ending injury to help his former teammate keep his Formula One team in the race.

But the recklessness of Pearce, played by Damson Idris, threatens to ruin their chances before he sacrifices his own position to let Hayes, played by Pitt, to win in the final race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and assure the team’s qualification.

The film has been a hit grossing over $600million worldwide – putting Idris in the spotlight.

Damson Idris was born in Peckham, south-east London, as the youngest of six children. His older brother Murtala Murray Idris is Isaiah’s father.

Idris’s mother Philippa, Isaiah’s grandmother, also declined to comment on her grandson’s injuries.

Isaiah is the youngest victim on the indictment faced by Williams – but he was also said to have menaced an even younger boy, who was just 14.

That episode allegedly happened in Peterborough where Williams lived at 7.10pm – about five hours before Isaiah was attacked In London.

Williams is then said to have gone back to Peterborough and it was on Saturday evening when the train’s passengers came under attack – with an emergency cord being pulled at 7.39pm.
