The Reds will release the video clip this week and included a poignant snippet of Jota speaking – along with other members of the squad – to promote the new club documentary.

Liverpool will release previously unseen footage of Diogo Jota as part of the club’s new documentary which will be made available on Tuesday.

The Reds shared a snippet on its new show ‘Champions 24-25: The Inside Story’ ahead of the release, which featured clips of various players speaking, including Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson. Poignantly, after Alisson says: “I think this picture shows how much we value every person here at this club”, the video cuts to Jota.

The club continues to mourn the sad and tragic passing of Jota, who died in a car accident in northern Spain last month along with his brother, Andre Silva.

Speaking in the short teaser, Jota says: “To arrive at this particular season with a title that I have been chasing for a lot of years, it is a remarkable achievement.

“It’s a moment that I will cherish forever,” the Portuguese adds, along with footage of him celebrating the win over Tottenham Hotspur in April which secured the title.

The documentary will be released on Tuesday at 09:00 BST and will be available on the club’s All Red Video online service. It features behind-the-scenes footage from throughout the 2024/25 campaign.

“The programme also honours the memory of Diogo Jota, whose sudden and tragic passing in July left the club devastated,” Liverpool said on its website as the new documentary was announced.

“Jota was, as ever, an influential figure throughout the season, having a huge impact on a record-equalling 20th English league title with vital contributions at key moments.”

For Jota, who played 26 times and contributed six goals, it sadly proved to be his last at Anfield. Liverpool has honored the player throughout the summer, with recent plans to build a permanent memorial to the ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers forward confirmed, while the no.20 jersey has been permanently retired by the club.

Since the devastating car crash on July 3, three murals have sprung up around Liverpool to honor Jota, while, incredibly, the Reds scored on exactly 20:20 in their first competitive match after Jota’s passing.

That came against Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on Sunday, with Liverpool opting to adorn its shirts with the words “forever 20” for the game.

However, the pre-match period of silence did not go to plan after a small number of Crystal Palace fans failed to remain quiet at Wembley, which provoked an angry reaction from Liverpool supporters, and ultimately forced referee Chris Kavanagh to cut short the commemorations.

The Reds plan to honor Jota and Silva once again on Friday before the Premier League opener against Bournemouth, with a mosaic dedicated to the siblings to be displayed inside the ground.
