GB News members will be familiar with host Emily Carver. She regularly co-hosts her own show, but away from her job, she lives a very ordinary life with her co-star husband.

Emily married her colleague Patrick Christys earlier this year. The pair started working on GB News as colleagues in 2014 before a romance blossomed.

The 30-year-old is a well-known British journalist and television presenter who regularly presents across GB News and appears as a guest on BBCPolitics Live, BBC Question Time, The Jeremy Vine Show, and LBC Cross Question.

Before her stint on GB News, she fronted the Institute of Economic Affairs Communications department. Prior to this job, Emily worked for a Conservative MP in Parliament and also at the Henry Jackson Society.

She studied at the University of Bristol, where she earned a degree in French and German, before graduating with a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Emily joined GB News and hosts her show at noon. However, away from her television career, she keeps her private life relatively quiet and spends most of her free time away on holiday with her husband, Patrick.

After she tied the knot with her colleague, the duo jetted off to Thailand in November for their two-week honeymoon. She penned on Instagram: “First time in Thailand – and we absolutely loved it!!

“We stayed at the beautiful @thesarojin for the first six days, then we hopped over to @pimalaikohlanta for a few more, and then spent the last three days in Bangkok at @thesalilhotelriversidebangkok, which was jam packed full of sightseeing and eating!”
