Greg Gutfeld blew up at his Fox News co-host, Jessica Tarlov, in a heated rant in the wake of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

During “The Five” on Monday, Gutfeld questioned why political violence “only” stems from the left side of the political spectrum — a claim that President Donald Trump and other administration officials have pointed to in recent days.

His remark prompted Tarlov to immediately note the assassination of Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman, a Democrat, in June. Her husband was also killed in the attack, while another state lawmaker and his wife were targeted and sustained serious injuries.

“Did you know her name before it happened?” Gutfeld asked Tarlov, appearing visibly angry.

“None of us did,” he continued. “None of us were spending every single day talking about Mrs. Hortman. I never heard of her until after she died.”

Tarlov then interrupted, “So she doesn’t matter?”

Gutfeld fired back: “Don’t play that b—–t with me!”

“What I’m saying is, there was no demonization, amplification about that woman before she died. It was a specific crime against her by somebody who knew her,” Gutfeld said.

“So don’t use your, ‘What about this?’ The fact of the matter is, the ‘both sides’ argument not only doesn’t fly, we don’t care. We don’t care about your ‘both sides’ argument. That s–t is dead,” he added.

Gutfeld went on to claim that the beliefs on Tarlov’s side “do not match reality,” which he said are resulting in “rationalizations.”

“We’re not doing that, because we saw it happened. We saw a young, bright man assassinated, and we know who did it,” Gutfeld said, adding that conservatives have been “calm,” “honest” and “resolute” following Kirk’s death.

“I understand the defensiveness… If you have to face the underlying fact to this, your life is going to fall apart, because you’re going to realize you’re not the good guys,” Gutfeld continued.

Tarlov clarified that she “no way intended at all to minimize what happened to Charlie.”

“All that I was saying is, can we have all of the information before you just say ‘They did this’? Because that is a broad brush to paint with this,” Tarlov said.

Gutfeld also said that he “didn’t mean to scream” Tarlov, but called the situation a “very personal thing.”

Social media erupted over the exchange.

“IT’S OFFICIAL: Jessica Tarlov got flung into the sun by Greg Gutfeld! Every Fox viewer is rejoicing tonight!” conservative journalist Eric Daugherty posted on X.

Another user taunted Gutfeld: “‘I didn’t know the politician therefore I shouldn’t care about their murder.’”

Following a less than two-day manhunt, Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, was arrested and is expected to be charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice in connection to the fatal shooting of Kirk.

Meanwhile, FBI Director Kash Patel is testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday as questions swirl about his ability to lead the agency. Fox News reported late Sunday that Patel is facing scrutiny from within the Trump administration over previous instances — including his “botched communications” during the manhunt for Kirk’s shooting suspect.

The White House denied any plans to remove Patel from his position to the outlet.
