There’s no doubt Tsimikas is more than capable of being a regular in the Premier League, he’s just been unfortunate to be behind a player of Robertson’s calibre over the last few years. Kerkez’s arrival will make it even trickier for him to find regular minutes, so a departure this summer will be beneficial for all parties involved.

Tsimikas could be a smart addition for Nottingham Forest, especially if they can pick up him for a reasonable fee. The Greek defender only joined for a fee of around £12m, five years ago, so it shouldn’t cost an awful lot for Forest to prise him away from Anfield, especially considering he’s now the third choice left-back under Slot.
