NASHVILLE — The 2025 CMA Awards were supposed to be about the music… until Leanne Morgan grabbed the mic and turned the entire Bridgestone Arena into her personal comedy special, with rising country heartthrob Riley Green as the main target.

The 59-year-old Alabama comedian, fresh off selling out 100-date theater tours with her “Big Panty Tour,” was co-presenting the Musical Event of the Year category Wednesday night when she spotted 37-year-old Riley in the front row, looking sharp in a black suit and that signature half-smirk that’s been breaking TikTok for three straight years.

And Leanne did not hold back.

“Lord have mercy, Riley Green,” she drawled, fanning herself with the envelope like a Southern church lady in July. “You are finer than frog hair split four ways. I swear if I was thirty years younger… well, hell, I might not even wait thirty years!”

The crowd lost it. Cameras cut straight to Riley, whose face went from tan to tomato in 0.2 seconds. He dropped his head, laughed into his fist, then finally looked up with the most adorably flustered grin Nashville has seen since Luke Bryan got roasted in 2017.

Leanne kept going.

“I told my husband before I left the house tonight, ‘Baby, if Riley Green is there, you might need to sleep with one eye open.’”

Cue 18,000 people screaming. Miranda Lambert spit out her drink. Jelly Roll was doubled over in the aisle.

Riley, still bright red, just shook his head and mouthed “Stop it” while the Jumbotron zoomed in on his blush for the cheap seats.

Backstage later, reporters swarmed the “I Hope She Cheats” singer.

“Dude, are you okay? Your face is still red,” one asked.

Riley, laughing, finally admitted: “Miss Leanne is dangerous. I didn’t know where to look. I thought about hiding under the chair!”

Leanne, zero regrets, doubled down on the red carpet: “Honey, I’m 59, not dead. Riley Green walks in the room and my pantyhose catch fire. We get it, Leanne? Yes ma’am, we sure do!”

The moment instantly blew up online. Within an hour #LeanneAndRiley was trending nationwide, with fans editing slow-motion clips of Riley’s blush set to Leanne’s stand-up punchlines.

One viral tweet read: “Leanne Morgan just flirted with Riley Green so hard his ancestors felt it in Alabama.”

Another: “Riley Green invented blushing tonight and Leanne Morgan is the reason.”

By morning, Leanne was on Instagram Live sipping sweet tea and cackling: “Y’all, I love that boy. He’s sweeter than banana pudding and twice as pretty. Riley, call me!”

Riley, ever the gentleman, posted a simple story Thursday: a photo of him tipping his hat with the caption “Miss Leanne, you win. I’m still recovering.”

Safe to say the 2025 CMAs just gave country music its new favorite odd-couple moment, and the internet is never letting either of them forget it.

We get it, Leanne. We really, really do.
