Prime Video’s Off-Campus is preparing to enter a very different phase as Season 2 moves the focus away from the romance that introduced audiences to Briar University and toward one of the most anticipated storylines from the original novels. After the emotional highs and hard-earned stability surrounding Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, the next chapter appears ready to explore a relationship built on unpredictability, blurred boundaries, and emotional risk.
Adapted from The Score, one of the standout novels by Elle Kennedy, Season 2 continues the franchise’s format of shifting perspectives while keeping the larger Briar world connected. Rather than restarting from scratch, the series expands the emotional landscape established in the first season and explores what happens after the original love story no longer occupies the center of attention.
That shift belongs to Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis.

Dean has long existed as one of Briar’s most recognizable personalities — confident, endlessly social, and seemingly comfortable keeping life uncomplicated. Throughout earlier episodes, he projected certainty and charm, becoming someone who rarely allowed emotional attachment to interrupt his routine.
But the next chapter appears designed to challenge that identity.
Unlike relationships that begin with obvious emotional vulnerability, Allie and Dean’s dynamic is built on confidence, timing, and assumptions. Dean believes he understands exactly how relationships work. Allie believes she knows exactly what she will and will not accept.
That certainty becomes difficult to maintain.
Allie enters the story with a perspective that immediately separates her from Dean’s expectations. She is thoughtful without being passive, emotionally aware without becoming predictable, and unwilling to reduce herself to someone else’s temporary distraction. Their chemistry develops naturally, but what makes the relationship stand out is not intensity alone — it is the discomfort that comes when neither person can maintain the version of themselves they originally presented.
One of the reasons readers responded so strongly to this storyline is because it refuses to follow a clean emotional path.
The relationship does not become meaningful all at once. Instead, attraction slowly creates responsibility. Casual decisions become emotionally complicated. Conversations carry more weight than expected. The story asks what happens when two people enter something expecting simplicity and discover something neither planned for.
At the same time, Briar University continues evolving around them.
Season 2 is expected to maintain the broader ensemble structure that made the first installment successful. Hannah and Garrett remain part of the story, but their role naturally changes as their relationship enters a more settled phase. Instead of serving as the emotional center, they now represent what happens after the excitement of beginning something new.
That contrast may become one of the season’s strongest elements.
While one couple adjusts to stability, another enters uncertainty.
The hockey setting also continues shaping the emotional atmosphere of the series. Competition, expectations, routines, and group dynamics remain important influences on how characters communicate and make decisions. Relationships at Briar rarely affect only two people — they ripple outward into friendships, teams, and everyday life.
Part of what helped Off-Campus connect with audiences was its willingness to let characters feel unfinished.
People hesitate.
They misread situations.
They want contradictory things.
Season 2 appears ready to continue that approach while introducing a relationship that feels messier, riskier, and more emotionally unpredictable than what came before.
Although official release timing remains unconfirmed, expectations continue pointing toward a 2027 return as production develops.
If the adaptation captures the humor, emotional growth, and chemistry that made Allie and Dean’s story such a favorite among readers, Briar University may prove it was never built around one romance alone.
Because sometimes the stories that begin with the fewest expectations…
end up changing everything.
