A new chapter awaits the Prince and Princess of Wales as they seemingly prepare to make Forest Lodge in Windsor their new royal home.

According to an insider, King Charles is fully behind Prince William and Princess Kate’s decision to raise their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis away from the capital.

After a difficult year, 2024, when Princess Kate underwent preventative chemotherapy treatment, the 76-year-old Monarch is reportedly supporting their decision move.

A source came forward and shared, “If prioritising his family helps make him (William) a better king, it’s got to be a good investment.”

“The Prince of Wales has had a universally sh***y time as of late. He lost his beloved grandmother, his brother, and has faced terrible heartache with his father and his wife,” the insider added.

Continuing, “If this (way of doing things) makes him feel that much more happy and confident when the moment comes and he accedes him to the throne, then that’s something his father supports.”

While speaking to Daily Mail, another source stated, “The whole point of having a Prince of Wales with a separate household and funding from the monarch is that they have space and autonomy to try things in a different way.

“Sometimes they get things right, sometimes wrong. But even their failures make them a better king when they get there. Don’t forget His Majesty had more than his fair share of ups and downs as heir to the throne.”

Unlike their modest four bedroom home at Adelaide Cottage, Forest Lodge offers eight bedrooms spread over three floors, a significant upgrade for their family.
