😱 She partied hard on a boozy “girls night” – sending wild Snapchat videos while her newborn cried in the background… then woke up to find her 5-week-old baby girl de-ad and “cold to the touch.”
Cops say the videos show her getting hammered alone with the infant – slurring, vaping, even cursing about being “too drunk” to handle a baby gate.
Autopsy bombshell: Blunt force trauma to the head – NOT an accident like she claimed.
Now this 24-year-old mom is charged with FIRST-DEGREE MURDER.
She blamed the couch… sleepwalking… even her toddler.
But the phone doesn’t lie – chilling evidence that sealed her fate.
Full heartbreaking details and what she said in interrogation… 👇

A 24-year-old Cecil County woman has been charged with first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death after her five-week-old daughter was found unresponsive in a townhome following a night investigators describe as involving heavy alcohol consumption.
Destiny Faith Chiveral, of Charlestown, was arrested on December 10, 2025, by Maryland State Police following a homicide investigation into the death of her daughter, identified in court documents only as K.C. The infant was born on October 27, 2025, making her approximately five weeks old at the time of her death.
Emergency responders were called to a residence in the unit block of Leedle Circle in Rising Sun shortly after 9 a.m. on December 4, 2025, for reports of an unresponsive infant. Paramedics pronounced the baby dead at the scene. Initial observations noted the child was cold to the touch, according to charging documents.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit assumed control of the case after an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore revealed evidence of blunt force trauma to the head, including bleeding in the back of the brain, bruises on the scalp, buttocks, and face, a small laceration inside the upper lip, and an abrasion on the cheek. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Investigators executed search warrants on Chiveral’s cellphone, person, and two associated residences. Digital evidence from the phone included a series of videos recorded between 11:06 p.m. on December 3 and 1:34 a.m. on December 4. Police described the footage as showing Chiveral becoming increasingly intoxicated while alone on the first floor of the townhome with the infant.
A majority of the videos were outgoing Snapchat messages sent to others, court records state. In several segments, a baby could be heard crying in the background. One video allegedly captured Chiveral struggling with a baby gate while holding a vape, stating she was “too [expletive] drunk” for it and opting to climb over instead.
Additional evidence included a nearly empty bottle of vodka found on the kitchen table, which a witness said had been almost full in the freezer the previous evening.
Chiveral had reportedly gone to the Rising Sun residence on December 3 for what she described as a “girls night.” She brought the infant and her older toddler child but was alone with the baby on the lower level during the late-night hours when the videos were recorded. She spent the night at the home and discovered the infant unresponsive upon waking around 9 a.m. on December 4.
In interviews with police, Chiveral initially claimed she co-slept with the baby on a couch and that the infant must have rolled into a gap between a cushion and the back of the couch, causing accidental suffocation. She said the baby was fine when she checked around 3 a.m. but was unresponsive in the morning.
After being confronted with the autopsy findings, Chiveral offered alternative explanations, including the possibility that her feet accidentally caused the injuries during sleep, that she may have been sleepwalking, or that her toddler — described as sometimes “rough” with the baby and “untrustworthy” — could have been responsible.
Chiveral reportedly expressed during questioning: “No matter what, I’m going to be blamed for her death, ain’t I?” and “Nothing I say is going to fix this, is it?”
She has two children and had been living intermittently with her grandmother in Charlestown, who invited her to stay after the baby’s birth to provide a stable environment, according to court records. The grandmother noted prior estrangement but reported the infant appeared healthy when Chiveral left for the “girls night.”
Chiveral faces charges including first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in death, and first-degree child abuse resulting in severe physical injury. She is being held without bond at the Cecil County Detention Center.
The case has drawn attention in the small community of Rising Sun and surrounding Cecil County, marking another instance of alleged maternal filicide in the region within recent months. In an unrelated case earlier in 2025, another Cecil County mother faced charges in the death of her young child.
Maryland State Police, in consultation with the Cecil County State’s Attorney’s Office, continue to investigate. No trial date has been set as of mid-December 2025.
The infant’s remains were released following the autopsy, and family arrangements for services have not been publicly detailed.
This incident underscores ongoing concerns about infant safety, co-sleeping risks, and substance use around children, though authorities have not specified additional motives beyond the evidence presented.
Chiveral’s arrest concluded a week-long probe that shifted from a sudden infant death investigation to homicide upon receipt of forensic results.
Local outlets reported community shock, with neighbors and acquaintances expressing disbelief over the allegations.
As proceedings move forward, the case is expected to rely heavily on the digital evidence, autopsy report, and witness statements.
