His final, bl00d-curdling screams pierced the Bali night… begging his powerful father to save him from unimaginable torture. But the response? Dead silence.
A horrified local resident still can’t shake the memory: “From that luxury holiday villa, the agonized cries of a man echoed through the darkness… it was pure terror.”
The son of a notorious Ukrainian “kingpin” thought Bali was a safe escape. He was wrong.
This true crime nightmare will leave you speechless. You won’t believe what the father chose over his own flesh and bl00d… 😱🔗

Indonesian police have confirmed that decomposing and mutilated human remains discovered on a beach and near a river in Bali belong to 28-year-old Ukrainian national Ihor Komarov (also spelled Igor), who vanished after a violent abduction in mid-February.
The identification came through DNA testing that matched samples from the dismembered body parts to those of Komarov’s mother, Bali police spokesman Ariasandy announced at a press conference in Denpasar on March 6. Authorities displayed a document listing Komarov’s name and birthdate but refrained from publicly naming him during the briefing, citing ongoing investigative protocols.
Komarov, the son of Oleksandr “Narik” Petrovsky — a controversial businessman from the Ukrainian city of Dnipro described in regional media as having significant business interests, political connections, and alleged ties to organized crime — was kidnapped on February 15 while riding a scooter in Jimbaran, a popular beachside area frequented by Russian and Ukrainian tourists.
Witness accounts and police reports describe a coordinated, military-style operation: a convoy of vehicles suddenly appeared, and a group of men forcibly took Komarov from the scooter he was sharing with a friend. GPS data from one of the vehicles allegedly used in the abduction led investigators to a luxury villa in Tabanan, on Bali’s mid-western coast, where authorities believe the victim was held, beaten, and tortured.
In the days following the disappearance, a graphic video surfaced on Telegram channels, including MASH, showing a visibly injured Komarov — with black eyes, bruises, and what appeared to be a bandaged, bloody stump where his left hand should have been. Speaking in Ukrainian under apparent duress, he pleaded directly to his parents.
“Mummy, Daddy, I beg you, help me please,” Komarov said in the roughly three-minute recording. “You stole those ten million, which they ask for, return these ten million please. Bring me home, whatever is left of me at the moment, please settle with these people, they need ten million dollars, which we stole.”
He continued, his voice trembling: “I’m already on meds, I already have no limbs. An infection will start soon. I’m just dying. I ask you very much, this is a very serious organisation, please help me, no one can find me, neither mafiosos, no one, I was already taken to another country.”
The kidnappers reportedly demanded $10 million, accusing Komarov’s father of defrauding them in a prior business deal. Police have not independently verified the video’s authenticity but are treating it as key evidence in what they describe as a kidnapping and possible murder case. The motive remains under investigation, though sources familiar with Ukrainian organized crime circles suggest the abduction stemmed from a revenge plot tied to longstanding underworld disputes.
Komarov had been vacationing in Bali with his girlfriend, Yeva Mishalova, a Ukrainian social media influencer with nearly 200,000 Instagram followers. Her posts from the trip reportedly included location tags and daily updates, which some online speculation claims may have inadvertently aided the kidnappers in tracking him. Mishalova has not publicly commented on the case.
The gruesome discoveries began in late February when locals reported finding body parts along Jimbaran Beach and in the nearby Wos River in Ubud District. Items recovered included a severed head, a right leg, sections of the upper chest, thighs, and internal organs. Forensic experts conducted autopsies and DNA analysis, confirming the remains as Komarov’s. Reports indicate he likely died several days before the body parts surfaced, possibly from infection, blood loss, or direct violence.
Indonesian authorities arrested at least one suspect connected to a vehicle used in the abduction, though details on additional arrests or the suspects’ nationalities remain limited. Police emphasized that the case involves foreign nationals and cross-border elements, complicating the probe.
The incident has rattled Bali’s tourism industry, long marketed as a peaceful paradise for international visitors. While violent crimes against tourists are rare, the involvement of alleged organized crime figures from Eastern Europe has drawn attention to the growing presence of wealthy Russians and Ukrainians on the island, some of whom have been linked to luxury real estate purchases and high-end villa rentals.
Petrovsky, Komarov’s father, has not issued a public statement. Ukrainian media outlets have long portrayed him as a polarizing figure in Dnipro — a city known for its rough business environment and occasional flare-ups of criminal activity. Reports describe him as controlling extensive commercial interests while facing accusations of underworld involvement, though no formal charges have been detailed in connection to this case.
Online reactions have ranged from horror to speculation. Some social media users pointed to the father’s alleged criminal background as a possible reason no ransom was paid, suggesting that paying could have invited further threats or signaled weakness in underworld circles. Others questioned why such a high-profile family would allow a young heir to travel openly in a foreign country without apparent security.
Bali police continue to search for additional suspects and evidence. The case highlights the challenges of investigating transnational crimes in tourist hotspots, where victims and perpetrators often come from abroad and motives may trace back to disputes thousands of miles away.
For now, what began as a dream vacation has ended in one of the most disturbing crimes to hit Bali in recent years. The image of a young man desperately pleading for his life in a ransom video, only to have his mutilated remains wash ashore, serves as a stark reminder that even paradise can hide dark dangers.
