On Friday’s instalment of The One Show, BBC viewers saw Alex Jones and Clara Amfo speak to Romesh Ranganathan, Eric McCormack and Olivia Dean.

Clara Amfo was left red-faced during the most recent instalment of The One Show after suffering from a slight mishap.

During the BBC show, Clara was hosting alongside Alex Jones, who also faced her own blunder this week, as they were introducing the guest’s for the night.

Friday’s episode saw the likes of Romesh Ranganathan, Eric McCormack and Olivia Dean on the green sofa.

And Clara took a moment to take a cheeky swipe at one of them.

Alex commented: “Joining us on the sofa tonight are three brilliant guest,s including the very funny Romesh Ranganathan.”

As he waved to the camera smiling, Clara could be heard saying: “Debatable.”

His smile soon dropped at the remark as he replied: “You said you weren’t going to say that!” As everyone burst out laughing, Alex confirmed that the two were friends.

She commented: “It’s ok, they’re friends!” Clara added: “It was too tempting, he’s very funny.”

As the BBC host revealed he had dared her, Romesh jokingly took offence to the quip, adding: “Can’t believe it. Don’t bother, it’s too late. too late.”

However, this wasn’t the only mishap Clara was involved with on the night as she also got one of their names wrong.

When addressing Eric McCormack, she said: “Now, Erica- Eric!” Taking the opportunity to highlight her mistake, Romesh took a swipe back at the BBC star.

He replied: “See what I mean?! She destroys everybody that comes on this show! It’s absolutely unacceptable.

“I’m glad we’ve finally see it happen now. it’s a joke! You’ve been like this from day one Clara.”

Although it all seemed to be in good humour as the entire studio could be heard laughing as she replied: “I’ve changed Romesh! What can I say?”

At the end of the show, Romesh took another cheeky swipe as he told them: “I’ve not enjoyed the interview because you’ve been so rude to me.”
