KANSAS CITY – Move over, grown-up Chiefs Kingdom; there’s a new MVP in town, and she’s not even walking yet.

During Sunday’s game at Arrowhead Stadium, cameras caught the most precious moment of the 2025 season so far: Golden Raye Mahomes, the 10-month-old daughter of Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, perched in her mom’s arms in the luxury suite, suddenly raising her tiny arms and delivering a perfect, enthusiastic tomahawk chop like she’d been tailgating since birth.

The jumbotron flashed the adorable scene, and 70,000+ fans lost their collective minds. The chop – that iconic, rhythmic arm swing synced to the famous “war chant” – looked impossibly small in her chubby little hands, yet somehow more powerful than any Pro Bowler’s version. She even added a little bounce, as if the drumbeat was running through her diapered soul.

Commentators couldn’t contain themselves. “ Folks, I’ve been calling Chiefs games for 20 years and I have never seen a cleaner tomahawk chop,” one announcer laughed through happy tears. Social media immediately declared her “Chiefs Kingdom’s tiniest (and cutest) superfan.”

Brittany Mahomes posted the clip on Instagram with the caption: “10 months going on 10 years in the Kingdom already 🪓❤️ She learned that one FAST.” Within hours it racked up millions of views, with fans flooding the comments:

“Protect this child at all costs.”
“Golden just got her lifetime season tickets confirmed.”
“Patrick might be the QB, but Golden is the real leader of this team.”

Even opposing fans couldn’t hate. One Bengals supporter wrote, “I’m supposed to dislike everything Chiefs… but I would die for this baby.”

Golden Raye, born February 20, 2025, already has a wardrobe fuller of red and gold than most adults, and she’s been a fixture at games since she was weeks old. Her big brother Sterling Skye is famous for stealing the show too, but Sunday belonged entirely to baby sis. The moment was pure joy in a season that’s already electric for Kansas City – and a reminder that some things (like a baby’s unfiltered happiness) transcend rivalry.

Patrick, post-game, could barely keep a straight face when asked about it: “Yeah, she’s been practicing in the living room. I told her if she nails it on the jumbotron, she gets ice cream. Looks like we owe her a scoop… or ten.”

As the Chiefs chase another ring, one thing’s certain: the loudest roar in Arrowhead this year didn’t come from a touchdown. It came from the moment a 10-month-old princess reminded everyone why we love this game – and this team – in the first place.

Welcome to the Kingdom, Golden Raye. The chop is officially yours now. 🪓👶❤️
