“Today” show anchor Dylan Dreyer was treated to a fun-filled 44th birthday celebration at the $2.5 million beach house she shares with her estranged husband, Brian Fichera—just days after the former couple took their New York City apartment off the market amid their ongoing separation.
Dreyer, who shares three sons with Fichera, was joined for the “surprise” birthday party by Fichera, as well as her close friend and former “Today” co-star Hoda Kotb, and all of their children. Dreyer revealed in a post shared on Instagram that she felt like a “princess” during the special celebration.
The meteorologist shared a host of photos from the gathering on her Instagram account, revealing candid snaps of herself and Kotb soaking up the sun on her waterfront deck. Another snap captured her sons—Calvin, 8, Oliver, 5, and Rusty, 3—chowing down on cake alongside Kotb’s daughters, Haley Joy, 9, and HopeCatherine, 5.
Fichera was also in attendance at the Aug. 2 bash, although it is unclear whether he and Dreyer are residing in the Point Lookout, NY, property together, or whether one of them has opted to use their New York apartment while they figure out the details of their split.
Despite the split, the pair appear to be on great terms, with Fichera seen singing “Happy Birthday” to his estranged spouse alongside their children and their guests in a video posted by Dreyer on Instagram.
In another slide from the carousel, the TV anchor got into the party mood by sporting a birthday-themed tiara, sunglasses, and a sash. Another photo showed Dreyer’s kids posing for a snap with Kotb’s children while standing in the kitchen.
“Thank you all for the birthday wishes!! I was spoiled by the best surprises ever and felt like a princess!” Dreyer wrote in the caption.
“Bday girl!” Kotb commented alongside two red heart emojis.
The day after her fun-filled party, Dreyer revealed she was getting back to “work” and spent the remainder of her weekend power washing her deck.
The series of images shared to her social media account revealed the coastal aesthetic of her stunning abode.
Her property featured a chef’s kitchen with a white marble countertop that flooded into the expansive dining area, which came complete with an elegant wooden table and a chandelier.
The large living area featured a number of cozy couches and large windows.
Dreyer and Fichera snapped up their beach house in Point Lookout in 2021 for $2.5 million.
The home boasts four bedrooms, three bedrooms, and sweeping views of the shoreline.
While property records show that the New York apartment is listed under both of their names, with Dreyer going by her married name, Dylan Fichera, on the deed, only her estranged husband is registered as the owner of the beach house.
Dreyer’s glimpse of her birthday festivities comes just two days after her New York apartment was snapped off the market.
She listed her Big Apple dwelling in January. The former couple purchased the two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in June 2016, according to property records, just a few months before they welcomed Calvin, the first of their three sons, in December.
Dreyer—who is a co-host on the third hour of “Today,” alongside Al Roker and Sheinelle Jones—and cameraman Fichera first attempted to sell the property in November of last year, according to records.
But just two weeks after the apartment was put on the market for $2,495,000, the listing was taken down. It was relisted a few days into January for the same price.
The condo, which was built in 2008, sprawls across 1,491 square feet and features floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the lush landscaping of Battery Park below.
The expansive living room has elegant oak wood flooring, and the chef’s kitchen offers a chic and minimalist design with gray cabinets, modern appliances, and marble countertops.
The dining room can accommodate 10 people.
The bedrooms are “generously proportioned,” the listing notes. The “oversized” primary suite features a “five-fixture bathroom complete with Crema Luna limestone floors and tops, Waterworks fixtures and teak cabinetry.”
The listing photos reveal the lengths that Dreyer and Fichera went to to maximize the space in their second bedroom. The bedroom offers a three-level bunk bed, a colorful rug, and animal-themed storage bins as well as a wall with built-in storage.
The second bedroom also features a bathroom that comes with chic white tiling.
While the apartment might be a tight squeeze for the family, the building offers communal spaces where they can stretch their legs, including a children’s playroom and an expansive rooftop.
“Spectacular amenities include full time doorman, porters, a sky-lit indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, state of the art fitness center, children’s playroom and a 7,000 square foot landscaped rooftop with two built-in commercial barbecue grills, a wet bar and cabanas with retractable awnings,” the listing adds.
The building is located next to Battery Park and a selection of restaurants and hot spots.
The couple bought the home in 2016 after selling their Upper West Side co-op, which they listed for $862,000.
