The husband of a Massachusetts mother accused of killing her three children during an extreme bout of postpartum psychosis filed a $1 million lawsuit against her doctors for “overmedicating” her.

Lindsay Clancy, 35, allegedly fatally strangled her young children – Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan – with an exercise band at their home in January 2023.

Clancy attempted to take her own life by jumping out their window, but instead paralyzed herself.

Her husband, Patrick, filed a lawsuit against the South Shore Health System, Aster Mental Health Inc., Dr. Jennifer Tufts and nurse Rebecca Jollotta on Wednesday.

The lawsuit alleges that the staff’s mistreatment “resulted in tragedy, namely, allegations that Lindsay took the lives of her children.”

It also details the facilities’ alleged failure to coordinate her care between all of her clinicians and cites her frequent virtual meetings, with some lasting all of 17 minutes despite her persisting ailments, according to the lawsuit.

Prosecutors alleged that Clancy meticulously plotted the murder-suicide and mapped out how long Patrick’s errands would take the night she killed their children.

Patrick, though, has maintained that he “wasn’t married to a monster” and implored the public to forgive her.

The lawsuit is seeking at least $1 million in damages.

Clancy, who is on suicide watch, is scheduled to go on trial in late July.

Her lawyer warned there is a “real probability” Clancy will try to kill herself during the trial. She has undergone round-the-clock supervision at the Tewksbury State Hospital since her arrest.
