Mark Consuelos has emerged as a true soldier of morning TV. The hunky Live cohost revealed that he’s been manning the talk show with wife Kelly Ripa while fighting through pain from an injury he sustained in bed.

“I went to the doctor’s office yesterday, because I had this dream in August,” the 54-year-old said on Wednesday’s show. “I had this dream I was in bed and my arm was hanging off the side of the bed, and I went and I punched in the dream.”

Consuelos then punched the air — super hard — to demonstrate just how much force his slumbering self put into the mid-sleep maneuver.

“It was at an angle on the bed that I hyperextended my arm. I woke up and I was like, ‘Ah, that hurt,’” he said.

He continued, addressing the show’s longtime producer, Michael Gelman, by saying, “I’ve been nursing this injury, Gelman. I’ve been nursing this injury through September. It was a sleep injury. The Do It Week? Remember the Do It Week we had in September?”

That segment saw the couple engage in a variety of challenges — many of them physical.

“And you could barely do it,” Ripa joked. Still, her longtime husband elaborated on his ordeal.

“I went to the doctor,” Consuelos recalled. “And I’ve seen him so many times for my little sports injuries. He goes, ‘What happened this time?’ I told him, he started laughing, he imaged it, and I actually have a slight tear in my brachioradialis tendon, and maybe by bicep tendon.”

Ripa sarcastically told her spouse, “You’re just falling apart,” to which Consuelos replied, “You know you’re getting old when you injure yourself dreaming. That’s so pathetic.”

His wife praised him for muscling through the pain, telling him, “All this time you’ve been working, injured, in front of America and Canada.”

Consuelos beamed as he turned toward the audience at the thought, telling them, “I’m pretty much a hero.”
