The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin made a major announcement during this Wednesday’s episode of the daytime talk show: She’s five-and-a-half-months pregnant!

During a segment about embarrassing moments, Griffin cued up a clip of a viral moment from September 2023 in which moderator Whoopi Goldberg asked her if she was pregnant (when she was very much not). After the video finished playing, Griffin rubbed her stomach and said, “So Whoopi, do you want to ask me again?”

Griffin’s co-hosts then swarmed her with hugs as her husband, Justin, watched from the audience. “Baby boy Griffin arrives this February. I’m so glad to not have to hide it anymore. I can breathe!” Griffin exclaimed, adding that she’s “so overjoyed.”

Griffin went on to share about her struggles to get pregnant through IVF. “It was hard. It took us about a year. It took us five rounds, but he’s here. He’s coming. I’m so grateful to have the most supportive husband in the world,” Griffin continued.

Griffin also has plenty of support from her pets, particularly her dog Desi, who “won’t leave my side,” she said. “He sleeps with his little head on my belly. They get protective when they realize that their owner has a child in their belly. It’s the best.”

Griffin concluded her big news by offering some words of wisdom: “My advice to people is just don’t give up hope if you’re going through infertility. I know it’s cost-prohibitive for some, but try and meet with your doctors. And by the way, when you’re younger, if you know you want to have kids and you haven’t met the right partner, still see your doctor so you have a plan, and you have an idea of, like, what roadblocks you might have.”
