The dramatic moment Rob Reiner’s son Nick was arrested Sunday for allegedly killing his parents was captured in footage that has been shared by authorities.
The LAPD Gang and Narcotics Unit on Monday posted the since-deleted photos of Nick Reiner, 32, being detained near a Metro station just 15 miles from Rob and Michele Reiner’s California home.
Nick Reiner, whose face is blurred out, is seen being forced to the ground with his hands cuffed behind his back, according to one photo.
Another snap showed law enforcement pushing the suspect against the front of a squad car.
In the caption, the unit only identified the man as “a double homicide suspect.”
The arrest was made by US Marshals with the assistance of the LAPD’s robbery homicide division, according to the post.
An LAPD spokesperson declined to comment when asked why the force’s gang and narcotics unit deleted the arrest photo shortly after it was published.
Nick Reiner, who has a prominent history dealing with drug addiction and mental health struggles, was reportedly placed on suicide watch after his arrest. He was apprehended on murder charges for allegedly stabbing his famed director father and mother Sunday afternoon.

He is being held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.
Sources told The Post that they saw Nick, Rob, and Michele Reiner in the midst of a “very loud argument” at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party on Saturday.
They speculated the fight may have been about Nick Reiner’s refusal to undergo another round at a drug rehabilitation facility after an exhaustive 17 prior stints.
“They had had an argument at Conan’s holiday party, and Rob had been telling people that they’re scared for Nick and scared that his mental state was deteriorating,’’ a lifelong family friend who lives near the Reiner home told The Post.
The neighbor claimed that Nick Reiner was “badly addicted to a combo of opiates and heroin.”
Romy Reiner, Nick Reiner’s 28-year-old sister who found their butchered parents, told investigators that he “should be a suspect” because he’s “dangerous,” sources said.
Others alluded to Nick Reiner’s penchant for violence that was often fueled by his drug use, including a meth rampage where he ransacked his parents’ guest house.
In 2015, Rob Reiner directed the movie “Being Charlie,” a film about Nick Reiner’s battle with addiction that the “spoiled” nepo-baby wrote alongside a buddy from rehab.
