Ever since Today show star Dylan Dreyer’s nature show, Earth Odyssey With Dylan Dreyer, premiered back in 2019, viewers have loved seeing her explore some of the most interesting sights and animals in the world.
And with the TV host announcing the show got renewed for season 8back in July, folks have been wondering when they’ll get to see brand-new installments air on TV. Well, Dylan gave an exciting update about Earth Odyssey when she shared a new Instagram post on September 26. Posing with her film crew at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, she revealed that Earth Odyssey season 8 was currently filming new episodes. And if that wasn’t enough, Dylan expressed how grateful she was that fans continue to tune in.
“Season 8 of @nbcearthodyssey is underway!!” she emotionally wrote. “Thank you all for supporting this show and keeping us on air!! And thank you to the best team for making a long day so fun and easy!!”
As soon as viewers realized Dylan was shooting new episodes for Earth Odyssey, it didn’t take long for excitement to build online.
“The show is awesome! Really enjoy watching it with my niece! Glad more is on the way!” one person wrote in the comments. “IT’S A GREAT SHOW!! CONGRATULATIONS ALL ❤️❤️❤️,” another shouted. “Awesome! You guys are the very best 👍,” a different person added.
Now, this is thrilling news we certainly didn’t expect! And even though we don’t know much about what the new season of Earth Odyssey will bring, it’s clear Dylan has been ecstatic about taking viewers on different journeys with each episode.
“When I get word that we’re coming back for another season, I get so excited because it means that you guys enjoy watching it,” she stated in a clip posted on Instagram back in July. “I’ve always loved nature shows growing up, so the fact that we can put together a nice show that takes you all around the world makes me so happy and proud to be a part of it, and it makes me even happier that you guys enjoy watching it.”
