Jenna Bush Hager is making time to soak up the last moments of summer with the ones she loves most.

Fans know the Today show star for being on TV every weekday morning on NBC. But Jenna decided to take some time away from work for an international vacation to Rome, Italy with husband Henry Hager, their daughters Mila and Poppy, and their son Hal. As she documented the family of five’s experiences throughout the course of the trip, Jenna made sure to clue fans in on how everyone enjoyed being in another country partway across the globe. And as she uploaded a sentimental video montage on Instagram on August 26, Jenna also expressed the impact Rome had on her and her family.

“We ❤️ Roma!” she sweetly wrote alongside the clip. “We will miss our home outside of Rome! @romecavalieri.”

When fans realized that Jenna took advantage of summer vacation to bring her loved ones to Italy, they couldn’t stop commenting how incredible the trip seemed for kids and adults alike.

“Great trip and experience for the kids,” one person wrote in the comments. “What lovely memories you are creating for your children! What’s your favorite gelato flavor? 😉,” another asked. “Love this family and these photos,” a different follower added.

Now, this is what we call a jet-setting vacation! And judging from Jenna and Henry taking their kids to some of Rome’s most iconic sights (like the Coliseum, the Sistine Chapel, and more), it looked like a fun time was had by all.

It’s also interesting to note that while Jenna was away with her family, Today fans didn’t seem to realize she wasn’t on the air. As it turned out, the host had filmed her Today With Jenna and Friends hour with guest co-hosts Willie Geist and Savannah Guthrie prior to going on vacation. Meaning: it looked like Jenna was actually shooting new tapings, despite not being there. Talk about a great work hack!
